incestbingoHi all! I really wanted to run another iteration of incest bingo this year, and zappobrien kindly gave me permission to run it in this comm.
Basically, I am running an incest bingo to coincide with therelationshipping exchange for incest and selfcest ships, which is running now. Relationshipping has this policy on treats:
You don't have to participate in that exchange in order to take part in this bingo, but I've set this bingo up in a way to encourage making fills/treats for that exchange. (Relationshipping nominations close July 28 at 10PM EDT, so if you're interested in treating, be sure to get your nominations in!)
Here's how incest bingo will work this time around:

1. Deadline: If you are participating inrelationshipping, the collection opens on October 25, so works should be completed and posted before then. I will do card requests up until one week before then, on October 18. If you are not interested in participating in relationshipping AND are generating your own card, there are no deadlines for this bingo.
2. Works have to involve an incestuous couple. Blood, adopted, step, or an AU where characters are related is fine. There's a prompt just for "related AU," but you're welcome to write a related AU for any other prompts too.
3. Have fun!!!!!!!!!
4. Be respectful, warn properly for all content, tag properly, and follow the guidelines for the sites that you are on.
5. Any type of fanwork counts, so go wild. For some potentially-confusing prompts, I've provided an explanation of what I mean, but ultimately, prompts can be interpreted however you want, just as long as incest is involved in the final product.
6. If you are participating inrelationshipping, the minimums for assignments are 500 words (fic) / clean sketch on unlined paper (art) / 500 existing words or 250 original words (podfic); however, treats can be of any length. AI-generated works are not permitted. Additionally, if you are gifting a work to someone, your fill must match the fandom, 1 ship, and 1 medium contained in one of that recipient's requests and contain no DNWs the recipient has specified. See the rules for more information. If you are not participating in relationshipping, no mins apply. There is no max word count or work count.
Like last year, you can use the bingo generator to generate your own card of whatever specification.
However, the prompt list I'm providing is a bit complicated this year, so I am happy to generate cards if you sign up with the form below. Some restrictions apply:
1. I will only do 5x5 cards.
2. There are 9 prompt sets labeled A through I. You can choose any subset of these to draw from when generating your card (as long as there are at least 24 prompts between them). The earlier prompt sets are good if you want to challenge yourself with a wide variety of ships or ship dynamics. The later prompt sets are good if you already have some ships in mind and just want some prompts to shake some ideas loose. I recommend you pick a mix of both types for the sake of having a variety of prompts on your card (but remove categories where you are not interested in most of the list) and I recommend keeping Set D in. But it's up to you!
3. After specifying which set(s) you want to draw from, you can additionally DNW (do not want) up to 5 individual prompts of the ones still remaining in the sets you've chosen. I will remove these and they will not appear on your card.
4. If your card is not inspiring, I am willing to do one reroll (a reroll of the full card). For a reroll, you can reuse the same settings as your original card or you can use a different set of options as long as it still fits the above restrictions.

Family relationship (un)Jossed by canon: An incest pairing (or one you thought was incest) that was made/confirmed not incest in canon or two not-clearly-related characters later confirmed or revealed to be related.
Incest by proxy: Using a third party to sublimate incestuous attraction. Examples: Sleeping with someone who reminds you of your relation or who has slept with your relation; making someone resemble your relation so you can pretend it's them; etc.
It's not sex if...: Any scenario where rationalizations are produced where sexual activity isn't incestuous because it doesn't count as sex. Examples: you don't touch each other during sex; it's not PIV; etc.
Smarm: Smarm refers to a kind of warm, affectionate, loving dynamic between characters. It's used to refer to works where the characters clearly love each other but there's nothing that outright rules out that the relationship is platonic. For example, the characters might kiss, cuddle, and declare undying love for each other, but there's still some plausible deniability that the relationship might be platonic. Spite Incest: This is for ships that antis claim is incest... well, now it really is! Could be a related AU, reinterpreting a non-incesty relationship to have an incest aspect and playing up the incest dimension on purpose, etc. Or this is for ships that antis hold up as the more wholesome alternative to a rival ship that is incest. Well, now you're making their preferred ship incest too.
Unexpectedly encountering family member in a sexual context: Examples: walking in on family member having sex, discovering family member's sex tape or work/career, discovering family member's porn stash, etc.
Well it's not *not* incest...: This is for any ship that could plausibly not be incest, but it could be incest too and that's the read you're going with. For example, characters that don't have a biological or legal family relation but have enough of the elements of a familial relationship (e.g. cohabitation, caretaking, calling each other by family names ("Brother", "Mother", etc.)) for it to count as incest or for the characters to view themselves as related. Anything borderline, arguable, or pseudo-incest fits here.
Edit: A couple of updates to the prompt list: I have added "Shame" to Set C and "Possessiveness" to Set G. Sorry for the change, but I felt those should appear somewhere in the prompt set but they were missing. I also removed "Mistaken Identity" from Set D because it was somewhat redundant with "Disguised/mistaken identity". So if you're wondering why some cards might have it even though it's not listed, that's why.
