incestbingoHi everyone! It's that time again! Sorry for a bit of a delay, but I am once again running Incest Bingo alongside the relationshipping exchange. I still haven't heard anything from zappobrien or been able to get admin access to this community, so I apologize for the messiness and outdated pinned posts. But the show must go on! Let's go: Round 4!
Note that you don't have to participate in Relationshipping to take part in this event. However, since Relationshipping has this policy on treats:
I have set up this event to encourage making fills/treats for that exchange. (Relationshipping nominations close Sunday July 13 at 9:59 PM Eastern Time, so if you're interested in treating, be sure to get your nominations in by then!)
Thanks to22degreehalo, we have quite a few new prompts this year, including in the core incest prompt sets (Sets A-D). I have also fully refreshed Sets E, I, & J (and lightly refreshed Sets F & G). Therefore, I would take a look at those sets and see if they interest you/might help with inspiration.

1. If you are participating inrelationshipping, the collection opens on September 19, so works should be completed and posted before then. I will do card requests up until one week before then, on September 12. If you are not interested in participating in relationshipping AND are generating your own card, there are no deadlines for this bingo.
2. Works have to involve an incestuous couple. Blood, adopted, step, selfcest, or an AU where characters are related is fine. There's a prompt just for "related AU," but you're welcome to write a related AU for any other prompts too.
3. Squares can be filled with any fandom. Original works also allowed!
4. Be respectful, warn properly for all content, tag properly, and follow the guidelines for the sites that you are on.
5. Any type of fanwork counts, so go wild. For some potentially confusing prompts, I've provided an explanation of what I mean, but ultimately, prompts can be interpreted however you want, just as long as incest is involved in the final product.
6. If you are participating inrelationshipping, the minimums for assignments are 500 words (fic) / clean sketch on unlined paper (art) / 500 existing words or 250 original words (podfic). AI-generated works are not permitted. Additionally, if you are gifting a work to someone, your fill must match the fandom, 1 ship, and 1 medium contained in one of that recipient's requests and contain no DNWs the recipient has specified. See the rules for more information. If you are not participating in relationshipping, no mins apply. There is no max word count or work count.

You can always use this bingo generator to generate your own card to whatever specification you like. Alternatively, I will generate a bingo card for you if you sign up with the form below. Some restrictions apply:
1. I will only do 5x5 cards.
2. There are 10 prompt sets labeled A through J. You can choose any subset of these to draw from when generating your card (as long as there are at least 24 prompts between them). The earlier prompt sets are good if you want to challenge yourself with a wide variety of ships or ship dynamics. The later prompt sets are good if you already have some ships in mind and just want some prompts to shake some ideas loose. I recommend you pick a mix of both types for the sake of having a variety of prompts on your card (but remove categories where you are not interested in most of the list) and I recommend keeping Set D in. If you want some novelty from last year, you may want to look at Sets E, I, and J. But it's up to you!
3. After specifying which set(s) you want to draw from, you can additionally DNW (do not want) up to 5 individual prompts of the ones still remaining in the sets you've chosen. I will remove these and they will not appear on your card.
4. If your card is not inspiring, I am willing to do one reroll (a reroll of the full card). For a reroll, you can reuse the same settings as your original card or you can use a different set of options as long as it still fits the above restrictions.

Family relationship (un)Jossed by canon: An incest pairing (or one you thought was incest) that was made/confirmed not incest in canon, or two not-clearly-related characters later confirmed or revealed to be related.
Incest by proxy: Using a third party to sublimate incestuous attraction. Examples: Sleeping with someone who reminds you of your relation or who has slept with your relation; making someone resemble your relation; etc.
It's not sex if...: Any scenario where rationalizations are produced where sexual activity isn't incestuous because it doesn't count as sex. Examples: you don't touch each other during sex; it's not PIV; etc.
Mythology/The Classics: Characters can be from a mythological or literary canon, or the work can be a mythology fusion, reference myths, etc.
[Relation] Complex - Oedipus/Electra/Brother/Sister: This square refers to an abnormally attached attitude someone might have to a family member, especially something where that person experiences anxiety around that family member being romantically or sexually involved with someone else. The square uses Oedipus complex, Electra complex, brother complex, and sister complex as examples of different complexes, although you're free to extrapolate to other family relations or make up variations or alterations on those attitudes as you like. Smarm: Smarm refers to a kind of warm, affectionate, loving dynamic between characters. It's used to refer to works where the characters clearly love each other but there's nothing that outright rules out that the relationship is platonic. For example, the characters might kiss, cuddle, and declare undying love for each other, but there's still some plausible deniability that the relationship might be platonic. Spite Incest: This is for ships that antis claim is incest... well, now it really is! Could be a related AU, reinterpreting a non-incesty relationship to have incest vibes, etc.
Unexpectedly encountering family member in a sexual context: Examples: walking in on family member having sex, discovering family member's sex tape or work/career, discovering family member's porn stash, etc.
Vampire incest: This square applies to any relationship containing at least one vampire (vampire AUs are a possibility here). In addition, this also refers to pseudofamilial relationships created by vampires turning humans into vampires. In some versions of vampire worldbuilding, when a vampire turns a human into a vampire, it's called "siring" and sometimes this leads to a semi-familial relationship between the sire and the "child" vampire they created, which can contain supernatural loyalty elements to it. Similarly, two humans turned by the same vampire might consider themselves vampire "siblings," and vampires might organize into clans based on these lineages. Well it's not *not* incest...: This is for any ship that could plausibly not be incest, but it could be incest too and that's the read you're going with. For example, characters that don't have a biological or legal family relation but have enough of the elements of a familial relationship (e.g. cohabitation, caretaking, calling each other by family names ("Brother", "Mother", etc.)) for it to count as incest or for the characters to view themselves as related. Anything borderline, arguable, or pseudo-incest fits here.
Xeno Incest: Similar to the "Vampire incest" square, this square applies to any incest ships with at least one non-human character. However, you can also use it to feature incest involving any kind of xeno worldbuilding elements. For example, an alien culture could define familial relationships in an unusual way, leading to certain relationships being considered incest -- e.g. two robots created by the same person might consider themselves "siblings." Or conversely, xeno worldbuilding could be used to create normalized incest AUs where sexual practices among family members is normalized or not taboo. So any incest involving xeno characters is part of this square.

Family relationship (un)Jossed by canon: An incest pairing (or one you thought was incest) that was made/confirmed not incest in canon, or two not-clearly-related characters later confirmed or revealed to be related.
Incest by proxy: Using a third party to sublimate incestuous attraction. Examples: Sleeping with someone who reminds you of your relation or who has slept with your relation; making someone resemble your relation; etc.
It's not sex if...: Any scenario where rationalizations are produced where sexual activity isn't incestuous because it doesn't count as sex. Examples: you don't touch each other during sex; it's not PIV; etc.
Mythology/The Classics: Characters can be from a mythological or literary canon, or the work can be a mythology fusion, reference myths, etc.
[Relation] Complex - Oedipus/Electra/Brother/Sister: This square refers to an abnormally attached attitude someone might have to a family member, especially something where that person experiences anxiety around that family member being romantically or sexually involved with someone else. The square uses Oedipus complex, Electra complex, brother complex, and sister complex as examples of different complexes, although you're free to extrapolate to other family relations or make up variations or alterations on those attitudes as you like. Smarm: Smarm refers to a kind of warm, affectionate, loving dynamic between characters. It's used to refer to works where the characters clearly love each other but there's nothing that outright rules out that the relationship is platonic. For example, the characters might kiss, cuddle, and declare undying love for each other, but there's still some plausible deniability that the relationship might be platonic. Spite Incest: This is for ships that antis claim is incest... well, now it really is! Could be a related AU, reinterpreting a non-incesty relationship to have incest vibes, etc.
Unexpectedly encountering family member in a sexual context: Examples: walking in on family member having sex, discovering family member's sex tape or work/career, discovering family member's porn stash, etc.
Vampire incest: This square applies to any relationship containing at least one vampire (vampire AUs are a possibility here). In addition, this also refers to pseudofamilial relationships created by vampires turning humans into vampires. In some versions of vampire worldbuilding, when a vampire turns a human into a vampire, it's called "siring" and sometimes this leads to a semi-familial relationship between the sire and the "child" vampire they created, which can contain supernatural loyalty elements to it. Similarly, two humans turned by the same vampire might consider themselves vampire "siblings," and vampires might organize into clans based on these lineages. Well it's not *not* incest...: This is for any ship that could plausibly not be incest, but it could be incest too and that's the read you're going with. For example, characters that don't have a biological or legal family relation but have enough of the elements of a familial relationship (e.g. cohabitation, caretaking, calling each other by family names ("Brother", "Mother", etc.)) for it to count as incest or for the characters to view themselves as related. Anything borderline, arguable, or pseudo-incest fits here.
Xeno Incest: Similar to the "Vampire incest" square, this square applies to any incest ships with at least one non-human character. However, you can also use it to feature incest involving any kind of xeno worldbuilding elements. For example, an alien culture could define familial relationships in an unusual way, leading to certain relationships being considered incest -- e.g. two robots created by the same person might consider themselves "siblings." Or conversely, xeno worldbuilding could be used to create normalized incest AUs where sexual practices among family members is normalized or not taboo. So any incest involving xeno characters is part of this square.
